The business strategy of YDreams was focused in creating and implementing digital concepts for brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Vodafone (the largest European operator) involving all kinds of interactive experiences. YDreams would also bet in direct customers as museums or companies like Ralph Appelbaum (one of the world's longest-established and largest museum exhibition design firms in the world).
The company also worked with banks such as Bradesco, one of the largest banking and financial services companies in Brazil. The bank's concept was based entirely on interactivity and technology and on the way how these elements would facilitate the customer-bank relationship in daily life and in time management.
The huge disparity in requirements and customized development forced us to create in YDreams our own open source based frameworks for computer vision, computer graphics and back-end. Our end points could range from the simple kiosk to a sophisticated robot, welcoming customers in a city bank.
As a company manager, I would try to balance the development cost of the YDreams frameworks and the ability to deliver projects with the lowest possible development cost. As a project-based company usually has varying workloads, we kept an internal team of central developers and often worked with external engineers to handle our peak workloads.
